How Much Does a Business Sign Cost in Miami? Real 2026 Prices

· 7 min read

A laser-cut acrylic business sign from El Laboratorio SG costs between $300 and $500, priced by the total width of the piece, not per letter. A 24-inch sign is $300; a 48-inch sign is $500. The digital design file alone is $5.99. Production is 4–5 business days, and shipping time starts after that.

How much does a business sign cost in Miami in 2026?

Here is the entire price list. You do not have to fill in a form or get on a call to see it: prices start at $300 for the smallest size and go up to $500 for the largest size shown.

Read the table by width. That is the total width of the finished sign once it is on the wall, which is the measurement you already have, because it is the space you are trying to fill. A 30-inch sign is $350, a 36-inch one is $400, and a 40-inch one is $450.

Every price on this list is for acrylic cut with a laser, piece by piece. Each letter and each shape of your logo is its own physical part, not artwork printed on a rectangular panel. Available finishes are mirror gold, mirror silver, white, gloss black and matte black.

Those five widths are the catalogue. They are what the configurator offers and what the checkout accepts, so the table is the whole price list rather than a starting point.

Why is it so hard to find a real sign price online?

Most sign pages answer the price question with a quote form. Impact Signs, for example, publishes only a starting figure and then asks you to submit your project details for an estimate, noting that price depends on size, thickness, finish and design complexity (https://www.impactsigns.com/business-signs/acrylic-logos/).

The shops that do publish numbers usually publish them per letter. Letters and Signs lists dimensional acrylic letters from $6.30 per letter for their budget black-and-white option and from $8.51 per letter for painted acrylic (https://lettersandsigns.com/).

A per-letter number is real information, but it does not answer the question you actually asked. Before it turns into a price, you have to count your characters, decide a letter height, and find out what the minimum order and the setup charges are. That is why we publish a finished price for a finished sign instead.

Why is the price based on width instead of the number of letters?

Because a sign is designed to fit a wall, not a word count. You already know that you have about three feet of clean wall behind reception; you do not know, and should not have to care, whether the layout ends up using two lines or one.

Per-letter pricing charges a business called Rodriguez & Associates Immigration Law far more than one called Nova, even when both signs occupy the same space on the same wall. Pricing by total width removes that penalty.

It cuts the other way too, and it is fair to say so: if your business name is very short, a shop that charges per letter may well come out cheaper than we do. Do the arithmetic with the per-letter figures above before you order from anyone.

What comes with the sign?

Open the box and check the tape first, before you plan the installation. It is the piece that determines how you will hang the sign, and it is worth knowing exactly what you have in hand before the drop cloths come out.

3M publishes technical documentation for VHB tape and it is worth reading before you mount anything. Their data sheets recommend applying roughly 15 psi of pressure to the tape, an application temperature in the range of about 70°F to 100°F, and they describe bond strength building over time — around 50% after 20 minutes, 90% after 24 hours and 100% after 72 hours (https://multimedia.3m.com/mws/media/2366460O/3M-VHB-Tape-4941.pdf). 3M also publishes a separate bulletin on surface preparation for VHB applications (https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/bonding-and-assembly-us/resources/full-story/?storyid=b3996cbd-9954-455f-8e72-88e452ca38c0).

The short version: the wall matters as much as the sign. A clean, sound, non-porous painted surface is what an adhesive mount is designed for.

Every order ships with three things in the box:

  • 3M VHB for mounting
  • A mounting template
  • An installation guide

What does the price not include?

No professional installation. Nobody from our shop comes to your office to hang it. You mount it yourself or you hire your own installer, and the tape, template and guide in the box are there so that the first option is realistic. We also do not handle sign permits.

No illumination. These are not lit signs — no LED, no neon, no channel letters. If your project needs light, or if you are looking at a monument sign, a pylon sign or vehicle lettering, we are not the right shop and would rather tell you now.

Indoors only. This is a product for interior walls. The mount is adhesive, and moisture and porous surfaces are a known problem for any adhesive bond, which is why we do not sell these for outdoor use. Impact Signs makes the same general point about acrylic, noting it is best suited to indoor use and more vulnerable outdoors to UV exposure and impact (https://www.impactsigns.com/business-signs/acrylic-logos/).

Shipping is not part of the production time, and it is not part of the shop price either.

How long does it take, and how do I get it?

Production is 4–5 business days. That clock covers the work in the shop: cutting, finishing and packing your pieces.

Shipping starts counting after production ends. If you are in Miami you can skip that part entirely — pickup here is free. Otherwise we ship anywhere in the United States.

We work in Spanish and in English, so send your artwork and your wall measurement in whichever one you prefer.

What if I only need the design, or I change my mind?

If you just want the digital design — the file, without us cutting anything — that is $5.99. What you get is the artwork itself — your logo at real size, in vector curves — not a production cutting file. It is a reasonable option if you want the layout in your hands, or on your wall on screen, before committing to the acrylic.

On returns, we will be blunt: these signs are made to order with your name on them, so we do not accept returns except for a manufacturing defect. That is the trade-off of custom work, and the reason we would rather over-communicate about size and finish before we cut.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest business sign you make?
$300, which is the smallest width on our list. That price is for laser-cut acrylic letters and includes 3M VHB, a mounting template and an installation guide.
Does the price include installation?
No. There is no on-site installation service and no permit handling. The order includes the mounting tape, a template and an installation guide so you can put it up yourself or hand it to your own installer.
Can the sign be illuminated?
No. We do not make illuminated signs, LED signs, neon or channel letters. Our acrylic letters and logos are non-illuminated pieces for interior walls.
Can I use it outside, on a storefront?
No. This is an indoor product for interior walls. The mount is adhesive, and moisture and porous surfaces are a known problem for adhesive bonds.
Do you ship outside Miami?
Yes, we ship anywhere in the United States. Production is 4–5 business days and shipping time starts after that. Pickup in Miami is free.
How many typefaces can I choose from?
208. You can also send your own logo and we will cut it as individual acrylic pieces.
What if I need a sign wider than the sizes on the list?
Send us the measurement at ellaboratoriosg@gmail.com or (305) 518-8902 and we will price it. The table covers our listed sizes, not the limit of what you can ask for.
Can I return the sign if I do not like it?
No. Each sign is made to order, so returns are not accepted except in the case of a manufacturing defect.
